Engadget has reviewed the new Acer Aspire One 532h which run on Intel Pine Trail platform. In terms of performance, Engadget reported that the Aspire One 532h has not much difference with other Pine Trail netbooks around – fast enough for web browsing but not for HD video playback. The battery life is quite good: 8 hours web surfing with Wi-Fi, and 6.5 hours playing SD quality movie fullscreen at 65% brightness.
In terms of design, the Acer Aspire One 532h is said to be one of the thinnest and lightest around, at just 2.4 pounds and less than an inch thick. And what make this netbook stand out from other Pine Trail netbooks is competitive price: the higher end model (used in Engadget’s review) that comes with a 250GB HDD and a higher capacity 6-cell battery (5,600 mAh) cost $349, while the lower-end model
that comes with a 160GB HDD and a 4,400 mAh 6-cell battery cost only $299.
