Since Intel officially announced the Pine Trail platform at the end of 2009, every netbook manufacturers have come out with new models that make use of this new energy-efficient platform. While the Intel Atom N450 CPU (that’s being used in the Pine Trail platform) doesn’t give much performance improvement to the netbook, it does give them longer battery life. The longest battery life that we have seen on a Pine Trail netbook so far is 14 hours on the Asus Eee PC 1005PE.
