Previously, there were rumors saying that the Nvidia Ion 2 is a G218 GPU, not a chipset. Today, Blogee discovered that there is a product sheet for a new ASUS Eee Top 2010PNT which lists the ION 2 as a GeForce G310, which is said to be the renumbered version of the GeForce 210 card that’s been available for a while. There’s high possibility that the rumor is true since Intel’s new Pine Trail platform bundles the Atom processor and graphics core onto a single chip, making it impossible for Nvidia to simply replace the integrated graphics.
