Sony VAIO W Eco series netbook is an environmental friendly netbook which features a plastic chassis made up of 23 percent recycled compact discs. Also, to avoid using cardboard, Sony is shipping this netbook in a nice carrying-case made from recycled PET bottles instead of a packing box.
In terms of specification, Sony Vaio W Eco Series netbook includes a 10.1-inch LED backlit widescreen (1333×768), a 250 GB hard drive, up to 7 hours of battery life, Microsoft 7, 1.66 Ghz Intel Atom Processor N450, 1GB RAM.
CNet has recently reviewed the Sony Vaio W Eco netbook and found it to be very much similar to the original VAIO W. it has a sturdy chassis and a crisp, high resolution display. The use of recycled materials doesn’t affect cost or attractiveness of this netbook at all. The keyboard however is said to be cramped.
