Blogeee reported that Asus will be releasing 3 new netbook models:
1. Eee PC 1015P
Almost similar to the Eee PC 1005PE, but comes with a matte display and an aluminium chassis. Also, the touchpad has been altered and is no longer flush with the chassis, one that looks like it was taken directly off the Eee PC T91MT. It will have 14 hours battery life.
2. Eee PC 1018P
Stems from the 1008P but with a few improvements including thinner in size, and addition of fingerprint reader and USB 3.0 ports. It will have a brushed metal lid and 10 hours of battery life.
3. Eee PC 1016P
Not much information is revealed on the 1016P but it’s believed to be designed for professionals and business users.
No words about the specification of these new models yet, but I am wondering if they will come the Intel Atom N470 processor that has a clock speed of 1.83GHz vs 1.66GHz on the N450 processor that’s found on most Pinetrail netbooks currently. The answer should reveal at CeBIT early next month.
