Acer Aspire One 533 Not Upgradable To 2GB RAM

The Aspire One 533 is one of the latest 10.1-inch netbook from Acer to replace the older 532h model. It has an 1.83GHz Intel Atom N475 processor and 1GB of DDR3 RAM, which should give a better performance than its predecessor which run on a slower N450 CPU and DDR2 RAM.

What’s unexpected is that Acer does not give users the capability to upgrade the 1GB DDR3 RAM on the Aspire One 533 to 2GB. An Amazon customer reported that Acer has confirmed this limitation:

So if you are going to run software like Abobe Photoshop that require lots of memory space to run smoothly, the Aspire One 533 might not be for you.
