AMD Fusion C-60 with Turbo Core To Be Released in Q3?

AMD has given Intel lots of pressure with their new Fusion chips that offer higher graphic performance and lower power consumption than the Intel Atom processor.. and it looks like AMD will keep the competition coming with the C-60 with Turbo Boost.

According to Marcles, AMD is preparing to introduce a new Fusion SKU with a rather interesting twist. The new dual-core C-60 is set to lessen the gap between the C-50 and E-350. It’s identical to the AMD C-50 in most respects, but will support Turbo Core technology (which the C-50 doesn’t), and will have Radeon HD 6290 graphics instead of Radeon HS 6250.

The Turbo core technology allows the CPU and GPU clock speed to be pushed up to a higher speed when only one processor core is in used. And because the other core is idle, the system will underclock it so that the power draw is remained pretty much the same.

Marcles reported that the C-60 will be released in Q3 this year.
