Asus Eee PC 1001P-PU17 is one of the new Pine Trail netbook from Asus. The main difference between this model and the 1005PE is:

  • 1005PE has a glossy screen while 1001P has a matte screen
  • 1005PE can have up to 14 hours of battery life (with best configuration) while 1001P have up to 11 hours
  • 1005PE supports 802.11 b/g/n wireless while 1001P supports only 802.11 b/g

The Asus Eee PC 1201N is the first and only netbook in the market that comes with Intel dual core Atom N330 CPU (other netbooks usually feature single core Atom processors). Together with the NVIDIA ION graphics, and two-DIMM, dual-channel DDR memory architecture, the Eee PC 1201N is currently the most powerful machine in the netbook range. The battery life of this netbook is however shorter than other netbooks at around 3 to 4 hours. Toshiba NB305-N410

Toshiba Mini NB305 is the updated version of the NB205, one of the most popular netbook in 2009.

The new model Toshiba Mini NB305-N410 comes with a few improvements compared to its predecessor. First, it comes with the new Pine Trail platform and Intel Atom N450 processor which gives it a longer battery life (11 hours according to Toshiba). Second, the NB305 has an improved design where the battery no longer sticks out from the back like the NB205 does. And finally, the NB305 is a slightly lighter at only 2.6 pounds.

This particular model, NB305-N410WH, comes with frost white color. It’s also available in Royal Blue, Java Brown, and Onyx Black. Note however that the Onyx black version comes with slightly different specs and is slightly cheaper than this and other model with different colors.

Toshiba recently announced an update to its Mini NB205 netbook line. The new Toshiba NB205-N330 will comes with Windows 7 Starter Edition instead of Windows XP, while the hard drive capacity will increase from 160GB to 250GB. The rest of the specs are similar to the original NB205-N310 model — still having the same excellent keyboard, wide touchpad, and high capacity battery that provide up to 9 hours of battery life (find out more from the Toshiba Mini NB205 review here).
