Problem With The New Dell Mini 10 Touchpad
The new Dell Mini 10 that comes with Intel Atom N450 processor has the mouse button integrated into the touchpad. While this helps to save space for larger keyboard, it also creates a minor issue when you navigate the touchpad on one hand and click on the button with another hand. Brad from Liliputing has made a video about this.. check it out:

Unboxing And First Impression On The New Dell Mini 10
Jason from DigitalHomeThought has done an unboxing and first impression video on the new Dell Inspiron Mini 10 netbook that comes with Intel Atom N450 processor.
The new Dell Mini 10 has got a new design making it looks more stylish. You will see Jason comparing the Dell Mini 10 with HP Mini 1000 in the video to show you the body design difference — and the new Dell Mini 10 looks more like the Seashell design in most Asus netbooks. The lid is glossy which is a fingerprint magnet. Also, there’s no access panel at the bottom of the netbook for RAM upgrade.
In terms of performance, Jason has benchmark the Dell Mini 10 using the performance information tool in Windows 7 and get the following results:
Processor – 2.3
RAM – 4.5
Graphic – 3.1
Gaming graphic – 3.0
Primary Hard Disk – 5.6
Compared to the MSI Wind U100 netbook, the performance score of the Dell Mini 10 is slightly better (Processor 2.2, Graphic 2.1, Gaming 2.0, HDD 5.3 on MSI Wind U100), but as you can see there’s no huge performance improvement with the Intel Atom N450 processor. The improvement that you will be getting from the N450 processor though, is a longer battery life.

A Whole Bunch Of Pine Trail Netbooks Start Showing Up
After Intel officially launched the new Atom N450 Pine Trail processor, a whole bunch of Pine Trail Netbooks start to show up. Below are the Pine Trail netbooks that have been discovered so far.
1. Asus Eee PC 1005P, 1005PE, 1001P

We already know that Asus is coming up with 2 new models of 10-inch netbook called the Eee PC 1005P and Eee PC 1005PE, which will both be running on the new Intel Atom Pine Trail processor. Today, Asus UK announced another model called the Eee PC 1001P. While both the Eee PC 1005P and 1005PE is the Pinetrail version of the the popular Eee PC 1005HA, the Eee PC 1001P would no doubt be the Pinetrail version of the faux carbon fiber adorned 1001HA which never made it to the US. The specs for the 1001P includes a 10.1-inch 1024 x 600 display, Atom N450 (1.66GHz) processor, 1GB RAM, 160GB HDD and 1.1kg weight.
2. Dell Mini 10

Dell will be updating the Dell Mini 10 with the Pineview Atom N450 processor. Along with the processor upgrade, Dell will also be making a few improvement to its Inspiron Mini 10: a textured palm wrest area that is more fingerprint-resistant, and the 6-cell battery that will no longer stick out horribly. Dell has decided to drop the multi-touch feature on its touchpad though. The updated Pine Trail Dell Mini 10 will go on sale in the US on January 5th at $299, and globally on January 7th.

The U130 and U135 models are expected to be similar to the U100 but with a larger touchpad. The U140 is said to use the same chassis as the U123. The U160 will come in a super skinny chassis. Whether this means it is a CULV ultra-thin or fanless Pineview Atom model is unknown at this stage.
