Gateway recently introduces their new LT21 series Pine Trail netbooks. It comes with 10.1-inch display, Intel Atom N450 processor, 1 GB RAM, and 250GB HDD. The Gateway LT2021u is part of Gateway’s LT Series of netbooks and features a standard set of netbook components: an Intel Atom N270 processor, 1GB RAM, 160GB hard drive, and 10.1-inch display. This model comes with a 3-cell battery which can provides up to 3 hours of battery life, and pre-installed with Windows XP Home Premium.

While the specs for Gateway LT2021u is pretty standard, it’s a good looking netbook with a high-polished finish, rounded edges, silver hinges and engraved metallic logo. Also, this netbook gets extremely good rating from customer reviews so far (5 out of 5). And most importantly, it’s reasonably priced at only $299.99.

The Gateway LT2016u is a 3G netbook that ensure you’ve got 3G data available essentially anywhere in the world. Other than the 3G feature, the specs of this netbook is similar to most other netbooks out there: 10.1-inch 1024 x 600 display, 1GB of RAM, a 160GB 5400rpm hard drive, VGA webcam, and Windows XP Home. What makes the Gateway LT2016u stand out is that it’s sold in the US by Verizon for as little as $150 up front when you sign up for a long term service contract.

Gateway LT2005u netbook

The Gateway LT2005u is a pretty standard 10.1-inch netbook. The specification is as below:

  • Built-in webcam with microphone

As you can see, the specs is pretty standard. What’s good about this netbook is that it has a screen with a pretty good viewing angle. Also, the hard drive and memory at the bottom of the netbook can be easily reached and upgraded. The Gateway LT2005u is currently available on Amazon for $319.95.

Below is a short video review by jRin.net on the Gateway LT2005u netbook. Similar to most other netbooks out there which comes with Intel integrated Graphics, you can see in the video that the Gateway LT2005u is not able to play full-screen HD video smoothly on Hulu.

Gateway’s LT3103u is an 11.6-inch netbook that comes with AMD Athlon L110 64 bit processor and ATI radeon X1270 graphics. The other features of this netbook includes 2GB of RAM, 250GB HDD, a 6 cell Lithium-Ion battery pack, 802.11b/g WiFi, a webcam and microphone in the screen bezel, 3 USB ports, a 3-in-1 card reader, a D-SUB VGA port, audio in/out and 10/100 Ethernet and an 11.6″ LED backlit display capable of 1366×768. You can get one at Best Buy for $399.

According to review by Scott Carmichael from Gadling, the performance of Gateway LT3103u is really impressive. Check out his review you are interested in this netbook. Gateway LT3103 Netbook Review

Gateway LT3103 is the latest 11.6-inch netbook from Gateway. This machine is different from other standard netbooks on the market in several ways:

  • It uses AMD ATHLON 64 processor instead of Intel Atom processor
  • It runs on Windows Vista instead of XP
  • It has 11.6-inch screen with 1366 x 768 resolution
  • Different specs compare to most other netbooks out there: 2 GB RAM, 250GB hard drive, Radeon X1270 graphics

AramisTech has done a great video review (below) on the Gateway LT3103. Overall this netbook is a winner. It has great keyboard size, decent battery life (5 hours), and good quality display. Performance is good, while the price stays competitive — ranging from $349 to $379. Also, it’s easy to access to the RAM and hard drive.
