Review Roundup
Overall, the Samsung N150 is a pretty average netbook. Compared to the previous generation netbook that comes with Intel Atom N270/N280 processor, the new N450 processor does not give any performance boost. It does however gives the netbook a longer battery life — it lasted for 5 hours in CNet’s intensive Battery Eater Classic test, which means that you can expect around 7 to 8 hours of normal usage. Like all other Samsung netbooks, the N150 comes with a matte display which is perfect for working in bright light conditions. The biggest drawback of this machine is however the keyboard which is found to be a little cramped.

If you own a netbook running Nvidia Ion chipset, it doesn’t mean that you can watch a 1080p HD video smoothly without considering other factor of your netbook. One important factor is the software being used for the video playback.

In the following video, NetbookChoice demonstrate the 1080p video playback on Samsung N510 netbook (which runs on Nvidia Ion platform) using 2 different software. On VLC Media Player, the 1080p video is pretty much a slide show and the CPU usage run high at 60 to 70 percent.
